Ropes are used to tension the Marquee structure, and to hold the Main Poles in place. The most common rope we supply is a 10mm staple spun white rope – however, if you desire a more rustic, natural looking effect, we can also supply synthetic hemp rope.
Main Pole Ropes are supplied to suit various sized marquees. Side ropes (also known as guy ropes), are made up by us, and include a beech slider (either bow shaped or plain rectangular – depending on your preference), and piece of 2 link galvanised chain.
Equipment & Ropes are raised and lowered by means of pulleys, making marquee erection a whole lot easier!
The pulley blocks come with side plates which are through bolted and riveted for added strength and security. They’re designed for ease of use, with a solid brass bearing mainsheet traveller system.
Our single and double pulley blocks can be supplied as they are, or ready made up with 10mm Staple Spun Rope, with a breaking strain of 630kg (single) or 1260kg (double).
For further tensioning of the marquee, we can supply 50mm ratchets straps with an aluminium handle for use on the corners, and 35mm webbing straps on the main seams (breaking strain of 3000kgf /3 tons).
